This week myself and one our players really fancied pancakes. To keep on track with our diet we thought of a way to have pancakes but stay healthy, to do this, we created protein pancakes!
They are quick and easy to make, and super tasty. The ingredients I have written here are for 1 person’s portion of pancakes, if you are making for 2 people, you need to double the mixture. All you need is:
- 1 banana
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 scoops of protein powder (we used bulk powders chocolate protein)
Blend together and then cook. To stop the pancakes sticking, we added coconut oil to the pan as it is a healthy alternative from oil.
- natural, low fat Greek yoghurt
- warmed up frozen fruit
But you could top with whatever you wish, just make sure your toppings go with chocolatey banana flavour!
